All major brand
Australian blu-ray players will only play region B or non-region-coded
blu-ray discs (see global region coding pictures at the bottom of
this page). Our chip installation bypasses the region-coding and
allows it to play ANY region blu-ray or DVD disc.
- plays all
DVD regions - 1,2,3,4,5,6 (Automatic) PAL/NTSC
- plays all Blu-Ray regions - A,B,C (Manual Switchable). Push 1
for region A, 2 for B or 3 for C and then power up the player.
- allows you to safely upgrade your player firmware as it becomes
available.
- get access to locally unavailable titles, and save money, by importing
discs from overseas
- these are Australian models (unless model is not sold here) which
have been chipped and tested, and have the latest firmware installed.
Note : All of
our hardware mods and modified players come with a 12 month warranty.

If your AV receiver
has HDMI inputs with high-def audio decoding, then this is the best
value-for-money player around. Very reliable, nice DVD upscaling,
and especially convenient if you have a Panasonic TV.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Very
similar to it's cheaper brother, but with the added versality of 7.1
analog outputs (for those with a non-HDMI-equipped receiver), and
divX playback. |

Pioneer's
latest generation of blu-ray player adds BD-Live (internet connectivity),
a USB port, and 2 channel PQLS (low jitter audio over HDMI). It also
comes in a smaller cabinet than the older 51FD. Beautiful picture
& sound.
Almost identical to the BDP-LX52 but this unit also has 7.1 analog
outputs.

If you don't
care about internet connectivity, then the high build quality, excellent
audio, 7.1 analog outputs, and DIVX playback make this a very good
investment, especially if you have a Pioneer TV. Latest firmware
is installed, giving full Dolby & DTS HD audio.

Oppo Digital is an American
company located in Silicon Valley, California. They produce some of
the best
value-for-money "high-end" players around. SACD and DVD-A.
Anchor Bay video processor for excellent DVD upscaling. 7.1 analog
outputs. DivX playback. Very fast.

The
Oppo BDP-83 Special Edition is designed for those wanting the very
best analog audio performance from their player. It has an upgraded
power supply, all new analog audio section, and uses the Sabre32 family
of Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC) from ESS Technology. Picture
quality is identical to the standard player. |
|
Oppo's
latest model with the emphasis on high performance but at a more affordable
price. |

For customers
who primarily use the HDMI output to connect to an A/V receiver
or directly to a TV/projector, and for customers who primarily use
the digital optical/coaxial audio output, the standard BDP-83 is
recommended.
